- Marco Barozzi discusses his book, “Global Partners—Building International Sales Networks for Trade Shows and Events: Strategy Governance and Long-term Value. He explains why partnerships are more than simply vendors or suppliers, and how agents can overcome the short-term goals of selling exhibition area to exhibitors, instead focusing on becoming long term partners who extend the reach of the exhibitor.
- Marco explains that agents who understand market locales and their own milieu can help extend the reach of exhibitors into new countries and areas by facilitating the interfacing between local customers and global sellers, because today the B2B world is Glocal, and everyone needs to extend into markets that have their own dynamics and nuances. This means that exhibitors must allow their partner agencies the leeway to act in a manner that best serves the local dynamic, even while remaining within a broad agreed upon framework.
- Marco believes that better reporting and feedback from all concerned stakeholders build stronger partnerships that create greater value for everyone in the long run, establishing stable and profitable relationships.
