- Matthew Harris discusses the trajectories in the event industry in the light of recent technological revolutions such as AI. According to him, the important factor that would attract an exhibitor to an event is the solution. Leading with AI is not a compelling force to build confidence with participants.
- The role that AI can play, however, is that it can make everybody’s job easier by analysing data. Data can be leveraged to provide the right messaging to appropriate target groups. This is just one example, but data can be used in numerous ways to better address concerns of individual attendees.
- Events can also become more innovative in terms of their offerings. One example is a congress, where people congregate for learning, development and discovery. The exhibition can then piggyback on the main event, that is, the congress.
